![]() Executive Team Suresh R. Pillai, President A 20+ year industry veteran, Raj is responsible for Nayna's strategic vision and day-to-day leadership. Previously, he was the Founder and President of Abundance Networking - a provider of leading next generation SDH based network access solutions. He was also the Founder and President of OSSC, a developer focused on telecom systems & services. He has also been the Founder and President of Omni which was sold to ICL (Fujitsu). Mr. Pillai holds a BS from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, UK and an MSEE from the Polytechnic Institute of NY, at Brooklyn. Gautam Chanda, Senior Vice President of Business Development & Operations Gautam has over 20 years of product development experience with telecommunications and data communications systems, including ATM/IP switching, multi-service access, and SONET/SDH technologies. He was co-founder, President, and CEO of Accordion Networks. Accordion Networks developed products to deliver Broadband Access Services in the buildings such as MTU (Multi-Tenant Units), MDU (Multi Dwelling Units) and Hospitality (Hotels). Prior to co-founding Accordion, he was the principal founder and VP of Engineering at Mayan Networks, which developed IP over SONET products for the Service Providers. Gautam has also held various senior technical and management positions at Premisys, 3Com, Intel and ITT. Mr. Chanda holds a BSEE from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani, India and an MSEE from the Polytechnic Institute of NY at Brooklyn. Dr. Raj Jain, Chief Technology Officer, Co-Founder Dr. Jain is an industry renowned professional in communications industry for his work in IP traffic Management, ATM, Optical Networking and quality of service. Most recently, he has been a Professor of Computer Science at Ohio State University. Prior to that for sixteen years, he was a Senior Consulting Engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation and lead the design and analysis of many computer systems and networking technologies including Ethernet, DECnet, OSI, FDDI, and ATM networks. He was also an active member of the All-Optical Networking (AON) consortium consisting of Digital, M.I.T./Lincoln Lab, and AT&T that started the research on Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing networks. He is an active participant in several other industry forums including Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), Optical Interoperability Forum (OIF), Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (IEEE), American National Institute (ANSI), ITU and Telecommunications Institute of America (TIA). He is a Fellow of IEEE, a Fellow of ACM and a member of Optical Society of America, Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE), and Fiber Optic Association. Dr. Jain has also taught at MIT and has 13 patents, over 120 publications and a number of awards for his contribution to the industry. Previously, he was a consultant to Nortel, Nexabit/Lucent and a number of other networking companies. Dr. Jain received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Harvard University. Dominique Rodriguez, Vice President, Strategic Sales Dominique brings over 25 years of experience in Senior Management, the design and launching of new technologies, product marketing and business development in the Networking, Telecommunications, Security and Computer industries. Prior to his present position, Dominique was the Co- Founder and CTO of Xpeed Networks, an early leader in the broadband access market. He also served as COO of Xpeed Networks during the critical growth phase of the company. He was also the Co- Founder and CTO of Thomson-CETIA, a European leader in real time embedded computing systems. His credits also include President and CEO of American Information Technology (AIT), Director of Technology Licensing for wireless and encryption products at Cylink Corp., and Group Manager for the SPARC Technology Group at Sun Microsystems were he was instrumental into making SPARC and IEEE standard. He holds a BS and MS in Computer Science and an MBA from the University of Paris and also attended the Doctoral Program at University of Paris. Hari Hirani, Vice President, Engineering Hari is a senior engineering executive with extensive experience managing the development of carrier class products for the Telecom market. Hari was previously Vice-President Engineering for NtechRA, Inc. and the Director of Engineering for HAL Computers (a division of Fujitsu), ADC Telecommunications and Telco Systems. Hari has published numerous technical papers published by industry leading journals. Hari holds an MSEE (Computer and Information Engineering) from the University of Florida and BSEE from MS University, India. Jim Connor, Director of Marketing Jim has over 19 years of creative and technical experience in Sales, Marketing and New Product Development. His perceptive market insight provides timely customer solutions. Prior to joining Nayna Networks, Jim was Vice President of Marketing as well as acting Vice President of Sales for Latin America at Trans Comm Technology Systems Inc. Prior to TransComm he was Director of Marketing at Telco Systems and Director of Marketing at Coastcom can also be added to his list of credits. He holds a BSEE from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and an MBA from Cal State University, Hayward. Jim has taught the University of California Extensions including Berkeley, Santa Cruz, and Davis. Thomas P. Richtarich, Acting Chief Financial Officer Tom has over 20 years of marketing and business development experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining Nayna Networks, Tom was Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Abundance Networks - a provider of leading next generation SONET/SDH based network access solutions. Tom also led the financial, marketing and business development efforts for OSS Corporation - a concept to production product development firm specializing in telecommunications, networking and interactive products and subsystems. Tom also held a number of key corporate finance, marketing and business development positions with the Southern New England Telecommunications (SNET, now a subsidiary of AT&T). With SNET, he was responsible for conceiving, planning and implementing the creation of a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) subsidiary. He also successfully launched SNET's business product line for its highly successful long distance venture, SNET America. Tom has considerable experience in product management, application development, and marketing of high-end technology products, such as SONET/SDH, ADSL, and FTTH for service providers and large enterprise customers. Tom has a bachelors degree in Political Science from Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT and an MBA from the University of Connecticut School of Business. |
