Firmware Upgrades Will Bring New E06 Features To Installed Base

 

 

Santa Clara, Calif., USA - November 2, 2005 - Nayna Networks, Inc., (OTCBB: NAYN), a provider of next generation network solutions, is pleased to announce the E06 firmware upgrade set for Nayna’s flagship ExpressSTREAM Fiber-To-The-Premise (FTTP) Optical Line Terminals (OLTs).

The rapid advancing pace of development for broadband access networks predictably leads to new product releases. In light of these recent rapid advances, Nayna is determined to demonstrate our appreciation for service providers who have deployed ExpressSTREAM solutions by delivering, the most recent technology we have to offer through firmware upgrades. Due in January 2006, E06 aims to put into service our recent technology developments and thereby strengthen our customer’s competitive position.

The numerous improvements fall into three broad categories:

(a) Enhanced TDM circuit emulation for supporting PBX and leased line services

(b) Enhanced Redundancy for improved service reliability

(c) Enhanced diagnostics and performance monitoring for reduced OPEX costs

“All existing service providers with ExpressSTREAM equipment based on the XESW Ethernet Switch Fabric and XDSC System Controller will be given the opportunity to upgrade free of charge to E06 capability,” said Jim Connor, director of marketing, Nayna Networks. “Nayna field engineers are available to assist customers in assessing their OLT’s E06 compatibility.” Interested service providers may contact their local Nayna Networks sales representative for instructions on how to receive E06 upgrades.
